FAQs

Q?

Is Elite planning on having a boys team?

A.

Boys volleyball has gained much popularity in Texas over the past few years. We have been reaching out to boys to get support in the local area. If you know of boys between the ages of 12-15 interested in playing volleyball, contact any of Elite’s coaches.

Q?

What does it cost to participate in Elite?

A.

The cost is $1675 per player for age groups 13U-18U. The cost for 12U is $1450 per player.

Q?

What are fees used for?

A.

Fees are used to purchase 2 jerseys, warm-up jacket, backpack and practice t-shirt for each player. Coaches salaries, tournament fees, gym rentals, traveling expenses for coaches and equipment, i.e. balls also come from player fees.

Q?

How many tournaments will Elite enter?

A.

We will enter 8 tournaments for all ages except 12U. 12U will enter 6 tournaments. We will generally enter 2-day tournaments (Saturday & Sunday). Pool play is on Saturday and bracket play on Sunday.

Q?

How many practices are scheduled each week?

A.

Generally, we will schedule two practices each week, except during weeks we have tournaments, and every practice is mandatory. Our players come from areas outside of Wichita Falls and scheduling more practices during the week makes it difficult for them to attend.

Q?

What if, after being selected to a team and we have signed the contract, my daughter wants to quit the team. Do you release us from the contract?

A.

I can’t give a “yes” or “no” answer to this question. I will meet with you and your daughter to determine why she wants to quit. Most often, however, voluntarily quitting the team will still make you obligated to complete the financial terms of the contract.

Q?

Will you have summer camps and clinics?

A.

We do have summer camps and clinics during the off-season. “Like” us on Facebook or send me your email address. We are always posting events and articles on Facebook, and with your email, I can add you to the group so you will be one of the firsts to receive the information.

Q?

I’ve noticed promotions and advertising for JETs. What is JETs?

A.

JETs, or Junior Elite Training program, is designed for boys and girls ages 6-12 to learn volleyball, not only the technical aspect, but also increase their knowledge. Ages 6-8 meet once per week for an hour. Ages 9-12 meet once per week for 2 hours. The program runs from January through April, and we also have a summer camp. Follow us on Facebook or send your email address to me.
